This is meant to be a fun, joyous and invigorating experience.
Shifting our perspective on what exercise can look like.
Something to look forward to  >>>  not forcing ourselves to do something that we don't want to do or that we "have" to do.

Dance, move, stretch, walk, run for 1 hour
Take a break under the canopy
Connect with the community

No bathroom available onsite.
There's a Subway Restaurant that is walking distance.


STAY HYDRATED!
There will be cold bottles of water available for $1.

PARKING
This is a big parking lot!
Please park closest to the building
Then make your way to the back of the lot to dance.

It is an energy exchange. I support you, you support me.
Similar classes cost $10. If you can afford that, great! If you can't, great! Everyone is exactly where they need to be. No pressure. Give what you can IF you feel guided by your HEART.


MY FIRST EXPERIENCE AT A FREE FORM DANCE CLASS
I had no idea what I signed up for, but I loved it!

During the class, I found myself thinking

I'm the new person here .. Are they watching me?
I don't know what to do .. I look weird .. I keep doing the same thing 


If you've ever practiced meditation, you know how thoughts can come racing in and it takes a softness with yourself to allow them to pass on by, not attaching to the thoughts, but bringing your awareness back to whatever it is that you are focusing on.

I did the same thing throughout the dance and it got easier and easier to relax and allow. I noticed how the other people moved and were comfortable, not worrying about what other people were thinking, really being in the moment, being in tune with their bodies. I wanted to feel that and I did.

So, if you find yourself in your head, look around. See the beauty and joy of those around you. People being free to express themselves. This is a time to connect and appreciate your body, to move without thinking. Do what feels good for you! Whatever you do is perfect! Be proud of yourself for trying something new.
