Session 1 - 11:00am
Session 2 - 6:30pm
311 150th ST W
Apple Valley, MN 55124
$25 per artist
The cost includes a 10"x10" canvas and all supplies that you will need to complete an acrylic pour painting. The pouring itself can go pretty quick, so if you wish to make a second one, please do!
No experience necessary.
2nd Painting +$5.00
If this is your first time, I would suggest doing two so that you get the hang of it.
I will give instructions, show you all of the supplies, do a quick demo and then you are off to paint.
Class length will depend how quickly you go and if you choose to do 1 or 2 pieces of artwork. Expect anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
2 paper grocery bags
Apron or wear old clothes
This can be a messy project!
The bathroom nearby is open from 9am-5pm.
The evening class will NOT have easy access to a bathroom (there is a porta potty across Cty Rd 42, a long walk from the shelter or will have to drive to a gas station).
There are 2 parking lots at Redwood. The closest one to the shelter is if you turn in front of the main building and follow it down to the right. The other parking lot is behind the main building near the basketball court, that works too, just a little more of a walk.
MAKE ROOM IN YOUR CAR
These paintings will be WET!! You will have a paper bag to set them on, but you will need room in your trunk to set them or on the floor somewhere. If you have 3 people in your party and each do 2 paintings, you'll have some tricky logistics :)
Up to you! Other similar workshop websites say 12+. This particular project is quite messy and we have to be mindful of not getting paint on any of the park shelter surfaces (cement floor, tables, the shelter itself), but I will be bringing lots of tarps and coverings! Trust what you feel is best for you.
Do I need to bring anything?
The $25 includes a 10"x10" canvas and all supplies that you will need. If you happen to have 2 paper bags from the grocery store, please bring them! :) Also, an apron or old clothes that you don't mind getting paint on. And clean out your car, somewhere to lay the WET paintings.
WHAT if the weather does not cooperate?
I will send out a message if the class needs to be rescheduled.
I can't make it. Can I get a refund?
If you cancel with more than 24 hours from event start time, then, yes you will be issued a refund. If it is less than 24 hours from the event start time, $10 will be deducted for an administrative cost and the rest will be eligible to be used towards a future event.
Do you do private events?
Yes! Send an email, give me a call, FB message and I can answer any questions.
